How It Works

Most of the planning happens before you arrive. Your records are reviewed, you talk with Dr. Samadian by video, and you receive a written plan that lists the procedures, the number of visits and the days you need to be here. The diagnosis is confirmed at your in-person examination before any treatment starts.

1. Send Your Records

Use the form on this page and the team will reply with a secure way to send:

  • Recent X-rays, and a CBCT (3D) scan if you have one
  • Your periodontal charting (pocket measurements), if your dentist has done it
  • Clear photos of your smile and the areas of concern
  • What you have already been told, and by whom
  • Your medical history and current medications

2. Virtual Consultation

Dr. Samadian reviews your records and meets with you by video to discuss what he sees, the options that are realistic for you, and what each would involve. If he needs more information, for example a CBCT scan, he will tell you what to have taken locally.

3. A Plan Built Around Your Trip

Procedures are grouped so you need as few trips as possible: the examination, any final scans and the procedure are usually scheduled close together, with a check before you fly home. The plan states how many days to allow, any later visits needed, and the written estimate. Some treatments, such as staged bone grafting followed by implants months later, involve more than one trip; that is set out at the start.

4. Back Home

After treatment, Dr. Samadian sends a report to your own dentist, with what was done and what follow-up is needed, so routine checks and cleanings can continue near you. Questions after you get home go straight back to the office, and photos can be sent for review while you heal.

Getting Here

The office is at 260 Stockton Street, 4th floor, on Union Square in downtown San Francisco, within walking distance of many hotels. From San Francisco International Airport, BART runs directly to Powell Street station, a short walk away.

Traveling for Treatment FAQ

Can Dr. Samadian review my case before I travel?

Yes. Send your X-rays, CBCT scan if you have one, photos and your history, then meet with Dr. Samadian by video. You receive a written plan before booking travel; the diagnosis is confirmed in person before treatment.

How many days will I need in San Francisco?

It depends on the procedure and is set out in your written plan. Treatment is grouped so the exam, procedure and an early check happen within one stay wherever possible.

Who does my follow-up care at home?

Your own dentist, with a report from Dr. Samadian. Questions and healing photos can still be sent to the office.

Do I need a CBCT scan before my consultation?

It helps for bone grafting, sinus and implant cases. If you don't have one, Dr. Samadian will tell you whether to have one taken locally or here.

Do you accept insurance for out-of-town patients?

The same as for local patients. The team verifies your benefits and gives you a written estimate before treatment.
