Cone Beam CT Scan

Crystal-clear digital images

Conventional x-rays create two-dimensional images. Cone Beam 3D, on the other hand, permits Dr. Amin Samadian and his San Francisco team to produce 3D images that provide incredible accuracy and dimension while decreasing your exposure to the amount of radiation in a medical Cone Beam CT scan by a great amount. With Cone Beam CT scan 3D images, Dr. Samadian can view your teeth and jaw bone in great detail and make the optimal treatment recommendations for you to obtain prime tooth health.

What is a Cone Beam CT scan?

Unlike a normal x-ray, Cone Beam CT scan 3D imaging captures x-rays in a divergent cone shape. Then, computer algorithms produce a 3D image from the information collected. This very advanced technology allows Dr. Amin Samadian and his team to inspect the full 3D image as well as its cross-sectional slices on a computer, as opposed to a normal 2D image.

Reasons for a Cone Beam 3D scan

Cone Beam 3D lets Dr. Amin Samadian evaluate the condition of your jawbone before placing any dental implants. Cone Beam 3D also allows Dr. Samadian’s San Francisco team to pinpoint the most effective implant placement, providing the most advanced diagnosis for his patients. It can also allow him to diagnose tumors and diseases in the earliest stages possible, see any impacted teeth, and create an entire treatment plan from beginning to end. It shows the mouth nerves, any pathology in the head and neck, sinuses, nasal cavity, and more information that can critically help Dr. Samadian have a fully comprehensive diagnosis and treatment plan for you.
