3D Printed Clear Aligners & 3D Bite Scan

A discreet way to achieve your dream smile

While conventional metal braces can align your teeth, fix your under- or over-bite, and improve your smile, you don’t have to have metal braces to achieve straighter teeth. With 3D printed clear aligners, you can obtain the smile of your dreams in a modest, convenient way

Dr. Amin Samadian and his San Francisco team are happy to offer 3D printed clear aligners from SureSmile, Invisalign, ClearCorrect, and other aligner providers to his patients. These treatments can allow you to rebuild your confidence and fall in love with your beautiful smile.

To assess a patient’s bite and teeth arrangement and determine the best plan for straightening them, Dr. Samadian and his team utilize 3D bite scans. With one of these high-tech scans, you can discover any bite problems you may have and begin treating them.

What are 3D printed clear aligners?

With a series of plastic, detachable aligners backed by a 5-year warranty, you can progressively realign your teeth to their perfect positions. It’s important to note that clear aligners are merely a tool that allows you to achieve your desired results, crafted by world-class dentist Dr. Amin Samadian and his highly trained team in San Francisco.

Dr. Samadian and his team’s thorough knowledge and understanding of cosmetic dentistry, gum recession process, tooth wear patterns, clenching and grinding, TMJ, and sleep apnea is what will cause your teeth to shift to their ideal place in your mouth.

What is a 3D bite scan?

A 3D bite scan is a kind of orthodontic scan that permits Dr. Samadian and his team to acquire a precise 3D digital scan of your teeth and bite. It removes the need for messy dental impressions and gives them the most accurate 3D image of your teeth and bite so he can craft the ideal treatment plan for you. Dr. Samadian’s San Francisco office utilizes the most powerful level of technology possible for this 3D imaging. When using the bite scan for analysis for clear aligners, Dr. Samadian and his team may combine it with his 3D printing technology and 3D x-rays (Cone Beam CT scan).

What do 3D printed clear aligners & bite scans involve?

Dr. Amin Samadian and his team will use the 3D bite scan to produce a digital representation of your teeth so that he can examine your bite from every perspective. Then, they’ll use this model and high-tech treatment software to accurately measure the movement of each of your teeth to their correct location. With Dr. Samadian’s in-house lab, everything can be completed directly in the practice and doesn’t require the outsourcing of tests or visits to other doctors.

Next, Dr. Samadian and his team of experts will devise a customized treatment program and give you your aligners and specific instructions on how to wear and take care of them. You’ll likely be given between 6-10 aligners at a time and only need to visit our office once every three months to assess your progress and receive more.

Dr. Samadian and his team will prescribe as many aligners as you need to obtain flawless results and straight teeth.

Are 3D printed clear aligners or bite scans painful?

3D bite scans cause no pain or discomfort. In fact, countless patients report they are considerably more comfortable than traditional dental impressions.

At first, you may feel some discomfort when you put your aligners in your mouth, and this is to be expected when you start each new set. The good news is that this discomfort will speedily vanish once your mouth and teeth get used to them. After some time, you may even forget that you are wearing the aligners.

What results will I see?

Once you complete your clear aligner treatment, you’ll have beautifully straight teeth and a lovely smile. While treatment time will depend on your specific teeth, it usually takes between six months and two years to complete your aligner treatment. Once you’ve completed your program, you’ll need to wear a retainer at night to make sure your teeth don’t go back to their original positions.
